According to the Hagerstown Police Department, the fatal crash occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, in the 1700 block of Dual Highway. Emergency responders arrived at the scene after receiving reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a Subaru. Despite lifesaving efforts, Clayton was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Subaru was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities have confirmed that the investigation remains active, and the findings will be submitted to the Washington County State’s Attorney’s Office for review to determine whether any charges are appropriate.
